PressedThreads Reviews

Legitimate Shopify subdomain: myshopify.com is Shopify’s standard store subdomain, and by itself it is not inherently a scam or unsafe.

Fast to launch: It is designed for quickly setting up and testing a store.

Low upfront cost: It can be used as a free, functional starting point for an online shop.

Works with Shopify apps/integrations: Shopify stores can use standard ecommerce tooling, as shown by stores using apps like PayMaya.

Weak branding: A .myshopify.com address looks less polished than a custom domain and can make the store feel temporary or generic.

Lower customer trust: Review data across several myshopify.com storefronts shows complaints about scams, missing deliveries, and poor support, which can hurt confidence in unfamiliar stores.

Potential scam signal on new stores: A store with no visible history or reviews is harder to verify, and scam-check tools flag negative reviews on the broader myshopify.com ecosystem.

SEO limitations: Subdomains generally have weaker long-term search visibility than a custom domain.
